Teen sustains injuries after SUV flips in accident Thursday

An 18-year-old sustained serious injuries after she lost control of her vehicle around 10 a.m. Thursday and flipped into the median on Interstate 10.
Caddie L. Edens, 18, St. Johns, Fla., was traveling east on State Road 8 in a 2000 Ford SUV when she attempted to change lanes. She lost control of her vehicle, veered onto the median and her SUV overturned onto its roof, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
She was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital for her injuries.
David Stewart, Gulf Shores, Ala., was traveling behind Edens in a 2007 Honda Accord with three passengers and attempted to stop for the rollover crash when he was rear ended by a 2007 Ford Taurus, driven by Britany Kinsey, Navarre.
Kinsey sustained minor injuries and Stewart was not injured.
Edens was charged with careless driving.
