Holly Springs , MS : Red Banks woman and Memphis man were killed two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of U.S. Highway 72 on Thursday evening, November 27th 2014

A Thanksgiving wreck in Marshall County claimed the life of a Red Banks woman and a Memphis man. The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded around 6:30 p.m. Thursday to a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of U.S. Highway 72 and Norfolk Southern Access Road. The initial investigation showed a vehicle with two occupants was traveling west on Highway 72. They collided with an 18-wheeler turning left off of the four-lane onto the access road. The driver of the car, Tyrone Spencer, 36, and the passenger, Chenis Jefferies, 23, were killed in the crash. The driver of the 18-wheeler was checked by medical personnel on the scene and released.
