OTTAWA COUNTY, OK : 39-year-old Missouri man dead after motorcycle crash in Ottawa County on Sunday, 24th December 2023

A 39-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Ottawa County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).

The driver of the motorcycle, Nicholas Patton of Seneca, Missouri, was taken to a Joplin, Missouri, hospital after the crash and was pronounced dead at 5:52 p.m., OHP said.

Patton was not wearing a helmet, according to OHP.

OHP said it happened at 2201 South 680 Road, to the northeast of Quapaw.

What happened and what caused the crash is still under investigation, OHP said.

OHP said the road was dry and the weather was clear when the crash happened.
