WINCHESTER, IN : Randolph County man dies in crash on Monday, 27th April, 2020

A Union City man was killed Monday evening in a two-vehicle accident in eastern Randolph County.

Norbert F. Frantz, 75, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, on Ind. 227 at Greenville Pike, according to Randolph County Sheriff Art Moystner.

The sheriff said a preliminary investigation indicated Frantz's 2001 Toyota minivan was southbound on the state highway when it was struck by a westbound 2011 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Dalton S. Hensey, of Winchester.

The Silverado failed to yield right of way to Frantz's vehicle, according to a press release issued by Moystner. The front of Frantz's mini-van struck the passenger side of Hensley's pickup truck, which left the road and went into a field.Frantz's vehicle came to rest in the intersection. Randolph County Coroner Tim Crawford was called to the scene.
