KANSAS CITY, MO : 3 die in crashes on Highway 7 outside Clinton on Saturday, 12th January 2019

One of those fatal crashes happened on Highway 7 outside Clinton.

The Highway Patrol said a 2007 Mercury, driven by Deann Phillips, 53, of Urich, lost control on the snow-covered road and crashed into a tandem tractor-trailer.

Phillips, along with her passenger, Olivia Phillips, 14, died at the scene.

A second fatal crash was reported in Carroll County Friday afternoon.

The Highway Patrol said Hope Wilson, 32, of Carrollton, died when she lost control of her 2003 Pontiac Grand Am on U.S. 24 Highway, sliding into eastbound traffic. Wilson's car was hit by a GMC Envoy.
