A Kent man involved in a single-vehicle wreck Monday evening about six miles south of Brinnon at milepost 312 was not injured, the State Patrol said.

The southbound lane of the highway was closed for approximately eight hours as crews cleared the scene.

Omrao Singh, 25, was wearing a seat belt as he drove southbound on U.S. Highway 101 in a 2017 Kenworth Tractor with a 2014 Great Dane Cargo Trailer.

According to the State Patrol, he was driving too fast for conditions when the vehicle entered a left-hand sharp curve, lost control and struck the jersey barrier where it came to rest after rolling over.

The semi’s load of seven 6,000-pound rolls of paper were lost and came to rest in a creek on the west side of the highway.

Singh was cited for speed too fast for conditions, the State Patrol said.

Singh was not under the influence of drugs and alcohol, the State Patrol said.
