Fort Lauderdale, FL : Woman, 20, dies after single car crash in Delray Beach on Saturday, July 30, 2016

A 20-year-old Fort Lauderdale woman died Sunday after a car crash in Delray Beach, a police official said.

Gabrielle Quintal was driving a silver Suzuki Aerio south along Barwick Road toward West Atlantic Boulevard when she tried to turn east, said Dani Moschella, spokeswoman for Delray Beach Police.

The Suzuki did not make the turn and instead continued south along Sherwood Forest Drive and onto a median, where it crashed into a tree about 11:57 p.m. Saturday, according to police.

Delray Beach Fire-Rescue took Quintal to Delray Medical Center, where she died Sunday, Moschella said.

Quintal was not wearing a seat belt, and police are investigating whether alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash of the sedan, Moschella said.
