Laurinburg, NC : Man injured in single-car accident on Crestline Road on Sunday, April 10, 2016

A man was injured in Laurinburg over the weekend when his vehicle ran off the road and struck a pine tree, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

The driver was alone in a vehicle traveling north on Crestline Road when he traveled off the road to the right and struck a pine tree, the Highway Patrol.

Troopers believe alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.

The man was trapped in the car for about an hour before being air-lifted to a nearby hospital. The driver was talking at the scene, officials said.

His condition is not known but it is believed the injuries were serious, but not life-threatening.
