Hyannis, MA : Woman with life-threatening injuries in Harwich crash on Monday afternoon, August 8, 2016

A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after she crashed her car into a walking bridge near 119 Route 137 on Monday afternoon.

Harwich firefighters brought the 94-year-old woman to Cape Cod Hospital at around 2 p.m., said Harwich fire Capt. Joseph Mayo.

She drove through the parking lot and over the grass before colliding with the small pedestrian bridge, he said. She was not wearing a seatbelt, he said.

No information was immediately available from Harwich police.
