Pittsburgh, PA : Parkway East accident near tunnel cleared on Tuesday, August 15, 2017

An accident that had westbound Parkway East traffic backed up for most of Tuesday afternoon has been cleared.

The multi-vehicle accident occurred at 12:59 p.m. between the Edgewood/Swissvale exit and the tunnel. Traffic was backed up to the Wilkinsburg exit several times.

PennDOT traffic cameras showed the scene at the eastern portal of the tunnel cleared shortly after 3:30 p.m. and residual delays were dissipating
