Fontana, CA : One person injured in vehicle collision in Fontana on Thursday, July 28, 2016

One person was injured in a vehicle collision in Fontana on July 28, police said.

At about 9 p.m., an accident involving a silver VW Passat and a blue Toyota Camry took place in the 8100 block of Fontana Avenue.

A female driver and her son in the Passat were stopped in the westbound lane of Fontana Avenue to make a left turn into their driveway. She said, "I had my turn signal on, and was waiting for some cars to pass so I could turn into my driveway."

She said the Camry behind her ran into her car.

The driver and passenger in the Passat said they were shook up, but declined medical assistance.
A Fontana Police Department officer at the scene said one person from the Camry was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

The Fontana P.D. is investigating the accident.
