Two kids were injured after a minivan crashed into a tree in Calvert County in Maryland.

The crash occurred in the 700 block of Cougar Court in Lusby, Maryland around 8:30 a.m. Monday.
A spokesperson for the Calvery County Sheriff's Department tells ABC 7 that two eight-year-olds climbed into a minivan that was running and were able to put the vehicle in motion. The minivan then slowly sped up and crashed into a small tree.
Both children suffered injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
No further details about the accident have been released.
