Fatal crash closes I-10 at 35th Ave. but lanes now open
A fatal crash closed westbound Interstate 10 from 35th to 43rd Avenue, the third crash on the freeway in three days that caused headaches for early morning commuters.
However, Friday's crash was cleaned up quickly and traffic resumed on the stretch of freeway shortly after 6 a.m.
The crash involved three vehicles and happened just before 3 a.m. Friday, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. All westbound traffic was being diverted off the freewayat 35th Avenue.The closure lasted several hours and only affected westbound traffic. All eastbound lanes of I-10 were open.
