Mountain Gate, CA : One dead after car collides into barrier on Wonderland Blvd. early Sunday morning, August 28, 2016

A driver died early Sunday morning after crashing their car into a concrete barrier in the Mountain Gate area.

The car caught fire after the crash on Wonderland Boulevard south of Old Oregon Trail, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Due to the fire burning both the driver and the car CHP has not determined the male driver's name or the make of the car.

The driver died after crashing into the barrier and fence at a high speed sometime around midnight. The case is under investigation and the body of the driver was taken to the Shasta County Coroner's Office.
