Salt Lake City, UT : Utah motorcyclist dies after crashing into concrete barrier on Sunday night, April 9, 2017

Utah officials say a motorcycle driver died in Salt Lake City after crashing into a concrete barrier.

48-year-old John Unker was not wearing a helmet when he lost control of his motorcycle Sunday night.

Utah Highway Patrol says the man from South Jordan was driving on the northbound I-15 ramp when he collided with the barrier. Officials say he may have lost control because of how fast he was going.

Officials closed the ramp after the crash, but it was reopened Monday morning.
