Pittsburgh, PA : Briauna Slaughter, 21, killed in Point Breeze crash on Sunday, March 13, 2016

Pittsburgh police are investigating a Point Breeze car crash that left a woman dead.

Officers were called to the 6800 block of Penn Avenue at about 3:20 a.m. Sunday after getting reports of a single-vehicle crash. Briauna Slaughter, 21, of Pittsburgh, had been sitting in the front passenger seat and was ejected from the vehicle when it struck a telephone pole, authorities said.

She was taken to UPMC Presbyterian where she was pronounced dead.

The 29-year-old male driver is in stable condition at UPMC Presbyterian, police said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
