NASHVILLE, TN : Clarksville motorcyclist killed in crash on Clarksville Pike on Friday, 16th August 2024

A Clarksville man driving a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a pickup truck on Clarksville Pike on Friday afternoon, Metro Nashville Police said.

Police said the 29-year-old man, identified as Kyle Kotzen, struck the Isuzu pickup truck driven by Larry James, 76, at 1:30 p.m.

Police said James was traveling west on Clarksville Pike and was turning left into his driveway when the motorcyclist, traveling east, struck the pickup. The portion of the roadway has a slight hill, according to police, and the motorcyclist was cresting the hill prior to impact.

A witness told police James was turning at a very slow pace.
