Dallas, TX : Two women killed and another injured in a collision on Northwest Highway, near Jupiter Road on Saturday morning, February 14, 2015
Two women were killed and another was critically injured Saturday morning in a collision on Northwest Highway, Dallas police said.
Firefighters and police were dispatched to the scene near Jupiter Road about 6:45 a.m., Dallas police spokesman Demarquis Black said in an email.
A white Chevy Impala was eastbound in the 11300 block of Northwest Highway when it crossed the median and slammed into a westbound grey Toyota Camry, Black said.
The Impala’s two occupants, both women in their 20s, died at the scene. Neither had been identified. The Dallas County medical examiner’s office said Saturday afternoon that it was still trying to find their relatives.
The driver of the Camry was critically injured and taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas hospital, Black said.
Both cars had major front-end damage, and one of them flipped in the crash, he said.
Investigators spent about two hours surveying the damage and clearing the scene. Shards of glass littered the sidewalk, and orange markings on the ground illustrated how the crash happened.
