Grimesland, NC : North Carolina dad died and other three people hurt in a car crash in Pitt County on Wednesday December 23 2015

A North Carolina dad died and 3 other people were hurt in a crash in Pitt County on Wednesday night.
25-year-old Eric Lynch, who was a father and was a soldier in the US Army, died in the crash that left a woman hurt and two other men also hospitalized.
Four people were traveling in the 2004 Mercedes that crashed about 9 p.m. Wednesday on Blackjack-Grimesland Road, just south of Grimesland.
The Highway Patrol told WCTI-TV that the three men were ejected from the car and the woman was pinned.
Troopers say the driver, 31-year-old Anton Dodley, who at last report was in critical condition, was likely speeding before the crash.
One of the passengers, 21-year-old Shannon Nelson, is in serious condition, another, 23-year-old Robert Williams is currently in fair condition.
Lynch, of Grimesland, was a graduate of D.H. Conley High and less than a week before the crash took his young daughter on a trip to Disneyworld, according to information on his Facebook profile.
Troopers say they’re investigating if alcohol played a role in the accident.
Grimesland Volunteer Fire Department, Pitt County Sheriff’s Office and Highway Patrol all responded to the scene.
