BUFFALO, NY : Elma woman admits to fatal hit and run accident that killed pedestrian on Monday, 13th May 2024

An Elma woman has pleaded guilty in a fatal hit and run crash that killed a pedestrian.

Stephanie R. Kollatz, 37, plead guilty in Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to one count of Leaving the Scene of Incident Resulting in Death.

Investigators says Kollatz was driving north on Transit Road in Elma this past January when she hit a pedestrian that was walking along the road between French Road and Clinton Street. Kollatz admitted to driving away from the crash without calling police to report the incident. A passing motorist saw the victim on the ground and contacted police.
