A woman was flown to the hospital by helicopter for emergency treatment after a serious car accident that also left the driver and a 10-year-old child hurt.
The single-car crash happened at about 4:15 p.m., Sunday, on Route 24 southbound near Exit 15, Massachusetts State Police said.
The operator, a 36-year-old New Bedford man, lost control of the 2000 Toyota Corolla he was driving, left the pavement and crashed into the woods, police said.
The man and a 46-year-old woman were ejected from the car and a child passenger was also injured. The woman was flown to Tufts Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries and the child and driver were taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton by ambulance, police said.
The victims' names were not released and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
State Police were assisted on scene by Bridgewater Fire and EMS, Bridgewater Police, Raynham Police, and Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
