Melville, N.Y : Driver seriously injured in two-vehicle crash in Port Jefferson Station on Wednesday night, February 22, 2017
A motorist sustained serious injuries after being ejected from his Jeep in a two-vehicle collision in Port Jefferson Station on Wednesday night, Suffolk County police said.
Brian Carter, 25, of Rocky Point was going west on Route 347 when he tried to make a left onto Crystal Brook Hollow Road about 8:20 p.m. and was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet Suburban, police said.
Carter suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, police said.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Zachary Pisoni, 24, of Medford, was not injured, police said.
