MIDDLETOWN, CT : One dead, 2 injured in 3-vehicle crash in Middletown on Thursday, 8th September 2016
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a deadly crash in Middletown that claimed the life of man and injured two others.
The three-vehicle accident happened just before 7 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Newfield Street and Fisher Road.
Investigators say the initial collision occurred when a Honda Pilot rear-ended an idle Toyota Camry attempting to make a left turn onto Fisher Road. The Toyota spun out into Newfield Street, where it was then struck by a Volkswagen Passat.
Police say the driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the Honda and Volkswagen were hospitalized for treatment of unspecified injuries. Their conditions are unclear.
The names of those involved in the crash have not yet been released.
