DAUPHIN COUNTY, PA : One dead, one hospitalized following fiery crash on Rt. 283 that closed lanes on Tuesday, 7th November 2023

One person is dead after a multi-vehicle crash that has created a major traffic backup on Rt. 283 on Tuesday.

According to Dauphin County Press Secretary, Jennifer Fitch, the wreck happened in the westbound lanes of the highway near Roundtop Rd at around 11:02 a.m.

PennDOT confirms that the accident involved two tractor-trailers and a passenger vehicle.

The crash, officials say, lead to a fire on the roadway.
