Glencoe, MN : Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 212 on Friday, September 1, 2017
Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 212 at Bowman Street in Stewart Friday afternoon (today) at about 12:15 p.m. One of three, Bruce Virgil Remus, 63, of Stewart, was airlifted from the accident and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2001 GMC Sononoma pickup, driven by Dennis Elmer Hanson, 64, of Buffalo Lake, with Remus as a passenger, and a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Dana Marie Kraus, 24, of Porter, were both westbound on Highway 212. The pickup had stopped in preparation of a left turn onto Bowman Street and was rear-ended by the Chevrolet.
Hanson was taken by ambulance to the Hutchinson hospital, and Kraus was taken by ambulance to the Glencoe hospital.
Assisting at the accident were the McLeod County Sheriff's Office, Allina Ambulance, Buffalo Lake Ambulance, Life Link Air Care, the Stewart Fire Department and the Brownton Fire Department.
