A Lapine man was killed in an early Friday morning traffic crash on U.S. Highway 331 in Montgomery County.

Troy Christopher Allen, 26, was killed when the 2001 Ford Taurus he was driving collided with a 2015 Volvo tractor trailer at around 7:30 a.m. at the 71.5 mile marker, according to Alabama state troopers.

Allen was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor-trailer wasn't injured.
