Gresham, OR : 34-year-old man died from motorcycle crash on Southeast Powell Valley Road and Williams Road on Sunday, April 3, 2016

A 34-year-old Gresham man died Sunday from injuries he received after crashing his motorcycle.

The man apparently lost control of his motorcycle at about 6:45 p.m. and sideswiped a vehicle that had stopped at the intersection of Southeast Powell Valley Road and Williams Road, according to Gresham police.

The driver, riding a 2006 Harley Davidson XLN, continued into the intersection and was struck by a Ford Excursion traveling west on Powell Valley Road. He died at a local hospital at about 9:15 p.m., according to police, who aren't immediately releasing the man's identity.

Authorities don't expect to cite either driver involved in the crash. Powell Valley Road will remain closed until about 11:30 p.m.
