Vancouver, WA : Driver suspected of using spice, crashing into house on June 18th 2014
A man crashed his car into a house in Vancouver Wednesday morning.
Vancouver police believe the 19-year-old man was under the influence of synthetic marijuana, also known as Spice, during the crash. His name has not been released.
Police and firefighters responded to the house, located on Southeast Blairmont Drive, around 6:20 a.m.
No one was home during the crash, firefighters said. Two bedrooms were destroyed.
"I'm so grateful that they weren't here," said Theresa Moseley, the homeowner's sister. "I'm so sad. I mean, to go look at that house, it's just horrible."
Moseley's sister and niece were on vacation in Paris, she said.
"They would've been sleeping in there, and it's destroyed. Both bedrooms they would be in," said Moseley.
Paramedics took the driver to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to crews at the scene.
Police said Wednesday morning's crash was the second Spice-related crash in the past week.
