Milton,IN : Milton man dies after accidental fall from bridge on August, Saturday 12th 2017

A Milton, Ky., man died Saturday after attempting to climb over the Madison-Milton Bridge sidewalk railing to get to Harrison Street.

Brian Pollard, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County coroner’s office. Jefferson County Central Dispatch received a call that a person had fallen from the bridge around 12:25 a.m.

Madison Police Patrolman James Lee spoke to witnesses who said Pollard was walking on the bridge sidewalk with a friend when he climbed over the railing to get to Harrison Street instead of staying on the ramp to Vaughn Drive. Witnesses said Pollard lost his grip and fell to the ground.

An investigation into the case is ongoing.
