Roanoke, VA : Woman dies in Roanoke County motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon, February 12, 2017

A 60-year-old woman died following a motorcycle wreck at Colonial Avenue and Penn Forest Boulevard in southwest Roanoke County on Sunday afternoon.

The single-vehicle accident occurred at the traffic circle at the intersection about 2 p.m., according to a statement from Roanoke County police.

The woman was taken from the accident to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries. She was not identified by police.
Speed may have been a factor in the accident, though drugs and alcohol don’t appear to be involved, according to county police.
