A Decatur woman was killed Thursday after a two-vehicle crash on Arkansas 59, according to Arkansas State Police.

Doreen J. Martin, 62, was traveling north in a 2002 Jeep Classic on Arkansas 59 near Crystal Lake Drive in Decatur at 10:02 a.m. when a pickup traveling south on the highway crossed into the north lane, hitting Martin's car head on, according to a preliminary fatal crash summary from State Police.

The other driver, who isn't named in the report, was driving a 2008 Ford F-350 pickup and crossed into the oncoming lane to avoid a stopped vehicle, the report stated.

The report didn't list whether the driver of the Ford F-350 was injured.

Weather conditions were reported as clear and the road was described as dry, the report stated.

The crash was the 321 fatality on Arkansas roadways this year, according to State Police. The agency reported 512 fatal accidents in 2015.
