Man dies in motorcycle crash other driver charged in Luling Louisiana

A Thibodaux woman is facing charges after a crash took the life of a motorcyclist in St. Charles Parish Wednesday, according to State Police. Around 8:45 p.m., Michael Cullins, 39, of Paradis, was driving north on a motorcycle on LA 52 when a van driven by Elke Forbes, 35, of Thibodaux, pulled out from a private drive on to LA 52 southbound, according to State Police, causing Cullins' motorcycle to slam into the van.Cullins was taken to the hospital where he later died. Forbes and a passenger inside her van were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.A blood sample was taken from Forbes, according to State Police, in order to determine if impairment was a factor in the crash, and the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab will conduct a toxicology analysis. Toxicology results are pending an autopsy on Cullins. Forbes was arrested and charged with negligent homicide and failure to yield from a private drive. The crash remains under investigation.
