Police say a man was under the influence of multiple drugs when he caused a crash that injured three children late Saturday in Pleasant Grove.
Officers saw a man driving the wrong way in the northbound lanes of the 300 block of North Masters Drive near Elam Road about 11:10 p.m.
They tried to pull him over, but the driver wouldn't stop, police said. The vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes and crashed into vehicles driven by a 17-year-old girl and a 31-year-old man.
The driver was arrested and faces three charges of intoxication assault and one of evading arrest. He was taken to Baylor University Medical Center for treatment and remained there as of Sunday morning, police said.
