Two juveniles are dead after a crash in Delaware County near Alum Creek Lake.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, just before 11:30am, Monday, troopers were called to the area of Africa Road and Summerwood Crossing on the report of a two-vehicle crash.
Investigators said 17-year-old Gavin D. Schlotterbeck, of Powell, was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry when he went off the right side of the road. He over-corrected and drove across the center line, according to the patrol.
His car was struck on the passenger side by a 2015 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 19-year-old woman.
Schlotterbeck and his passenger, 17-year-old Hunter D. McClelland were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Wrangler and her 12-year-old passenger were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
A statement from Olentangy Local Schools Superintendent Mark Raiff says Schlotterbeck and McClelland were to start their senior year at Olentangy Liberty High School.
