Dale County, AL : Barbour County man killed in car struck a tree crash on Monday December 7 2015
A Louisville man died Monday morning after his car struck a tree in Dale County.
Edward Bernard Boykin, 40, died after the Ford Taurus he was driving struck a tree off Dale County Road 20 South at 5:45 a.m., according to Dale County Coroner Woody Hilboldt.
The wreck occurred about four miles east of Ozark near County Road 346.
A press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said Boykin wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Hilboldt said Boykin’s vehicle struck the tree at a high rate of speed.
