York, PA : York County man died in Red Lion crash on Friday morning, January 6, 2017

The York County Coroner has identified a York County man who died in a Red Lion crash on Friday morning.

Walter Fike Jr., 50 of Felton, died in a single-vehicle crash at 220 Country Club Road in Red Lion at approximately 4:11 a.m., the release states.

Fike was driving a pickup truck when the truck veered off the road, hit a fence and caught fire. The release says the reason for the truck leaving the road is unknown.

The Coroner reports there was minimal damage to the truck and no signs that Fike braked before the crash.

According to the release, witnesses removed Fike from the truck, but he was already deceased.

An autopsy is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday.
