A pedestrian died from his injuries after being struck by a vehicle Monday on Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa.

Tampa Police arrived at the 1500 block of Hillsborough Avenue shortly after 9 a.m. to find a man who had suffered critical injuries.Tampa Fire Rescue transported the man to a hospital, where he later died.

The driver remained on scene, and no charges have been filed at this time, police said.

Westbound Hillsborough Avenue was closed near 19th Street as officers investigated the crash.
