Two men are dead and another is injured after a car crash in Huber Heights.

Officials with the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office have released the names of the two men who were killed: 77-year old Richard and 48-year old Craig Serow are father and son both from Enon, Ohio. Investigators are piecing together evidence to figure out what led up to the crash.

Traffic came to a halt Saturday on Ohio 4 North near Lower Valley Pike after a deadly crash killed 2 people and sent another man to the hospital. Authorities rushed to the scene just before 3:30 Saturday afternoon.

When they arrived, the passenger in the silver car was found ejected found the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Bystanders who stopped were able to give CPR to the driver, but he didn’t survive.

“We know the silver Honda was crossing Route 4,” Huber Heights Police Department Lt. Matt Dulaney said. “The maroon ford truck was traveling north bound on Route 4 and the silver Honda pulled into the path of the truck.”

Rain poured down as officers were on scene investigating. Crews took measurements and collected evidence at the scene. The driver of the Maroon truck had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by family members.

“I know that one of the individuals in the car was wearing there seat belts because the officers had to cut it,” Lt. Dulaney said. “He was hanging partially out of the car and they had to cut the seat belt to get him the rest of the way out so they could start treating him.”

It was raining at the time of the crash. Authorities aren’t sure yet if weather played any role in what happened.

“I don’t know at this point in time,” Lt. Dulaney said. “We have to reconstruct the crash. We’re going to reconstruct it to see if we can determine any additional causes or factors.”
