Effingham County, GA : Man dies in 'near head-on collision' on Ga. 119 on Saturday, 18th April, 2020

A 25-year-old man died in a “near head-on collision” on Ga. 119 in Effingham County Saturday afternoon, according to the coroner.

Coroner David Exley said the man and an infant were traveling north in a Ford Ranger that struck a Chevrolet pickup truck shortly before 2 p.m., about a mile outside of the Guyton city limits, toward the Bulloch County line.

The infant was transported to the hospital and should be OK, Exley said.

No one in the pickup truck was taken to the hospital, he said.
