Richland, WA : Man injured in crash on I-82 west of Richland on Sunday afternoon, June 26, 2016

The driver of a Honda Accord was injured when he ran into the back of a semi-truck and two trailers Sunday afternoon on Interstate 82, according to police reports.

Lua Zamora, 28, of Selah, was driving west about six miles west of Richland. His car ran into the rear trailer being hauled by Juan Acevedo, 40, of Richland, at 2:20 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.

Acevedo was not injured, but Zamora was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

The state patrol blames inattention and is considering charging Zamora with negligent driving.
