Troopers said Courtney Hagedorn was eastbound on Interstate 26 at 6:54 p.m. Sunday when she drove into the back of a tractor-trailer.
Troopers said the passenger in the front seat of her car, Samantha Giana Striano, 27, of Clearwater, Florida, died.
The wreck was reported in the eastbound lanes of I-26 at exit 18B at the interchange between I-26 and Interstate 85.
