Eau Claire, WI : John Olson, 65, killed after motorcycle collided with a truck in Eau Claire County on Wednesday morning, September 14, 2016

The man who died Wednesday morning after the motorcycle he was operating collided with a truck in Eau Claire County has been identified.

John Olson, 65, of Eau Claire was killed in the crash, reported at 8:09 a.m. in the 3100 block of Deerfield Road (Highway II), about three-quarters of a mile west of Highway 93 in the town of Washington, a couple of miles south of Eau Claire.

Olson was driving eastbound when he struck the cargo truck backing out of a driveway. The truck was driven by Allen Hadorn, 52, of Augusta.

A reconstruction of the crash is being completed by the sheriff's office.
