Passenger killed, driver hurt in van crash in Dover Delaware

woman was killed when the van she was riding in left the road and overturned several times.It happened about 4:10 a.m. Monday on Hazlettville Road near Dover. Troopers say 30-year-old Lindsay A. Stevens of Dover was traveling west when the van failed to negotiate a curve. Police say the van left the road, slid 140 feet sideways and overturned several times before stopping at the edge of a retention pond.Troopers say Stevens and a passenger in the van, 37-year-old Kimberly I. Proud of Camden-Wyoming, were ejected from the vehicle. Both were flown to Christiana Hospital.Police say Proud died at the hospital. Stevens was admitted in stable condition.The accident is under investigation.
