Rio Rancho, NM : Man dies in multi-vehicle crash in Rio Rancho Sunday on June 22, 2014

Rio Rancho police say one man has died after his car collided with several vehicles in an intersection.

Sgt. Nicholas Onken says 34-year-old Fredrick Christensen, of Farmington, was heading eastbound on NM 550 near NM 528 around 2 p.m. Sunday when his car drove into oncoming traffic.

Onken says Christensen struck several vehicles.

Christensen was pronounced dead at the crash scene.

Authorities say another driver and a passenger in another vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators have not ruled out alcohol or drugs as a contributing factor.
