Baton Rough, LA : Car crash in Louisiana kills 10-year-old boy who was not wearing seat belt on Sunday, 29th November, 2020

A 10-year-old boy who did not have his seat belt on was killed during a car crash in Louisiana, which also left three other unrestrained children injured.
Louisiana State Police said 35-year-old Maria Bernales was driving a 2002 Dodge Caravan through Tangipahoa Parish when it veered into a drainage ditch on Sunday around 5 p.m., according to NOLA.com. It’s not clear what caused the crash, but authorities said the vehicle overturned several times before settling off highway LA 442.
There were four children in the van at the time of the crash, none of who were wearing seat belts when it careened off the road.
Salvador Arjon Jr. was ejected from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead at the scene. The other three children were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
