Lakeville, MA : Man hit by car on Route 140 crash on Saturday, November 8, 2014

A Lakeville man was seriously injured after being hit by a car while attempting to assist another motorist who had crashed on Route 140. Police responded to reports of a person hit by a car on Route 140 south near exit 10 in Lakeville at 5:40 p.m. Saturday. Darren Taylor, 46, of Lakeville was hit by a BMW as he was walking across Route 140 to assist another motorist who had crashed in the median, according to police. The driver of the BMW, Anna Aguiar, 46, of Arlington, attempted to medically stabilize Taylor at the scene until EMS arrived, according to police. Taylor was taken by medical helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. According to a family member, Taylor remained in intensive care Sunday with leg injuries.
