PALM BAY, FL : 22-year-old in coma after hit-and-run crash involving semi-truck in Palm Bay on Wednesday, 17th February 2021

A 22-year-old man is in a coma after a car he was a passenger in was rear-ended by another vehicle, then hit by a tractor-trailer that took off.

Cameron Redstone has been known for a friendly smile. The absence of that smile has left his family devastated.

His mother has been by his bedside at Holmes Regional Medical Center for 11 days.

Cameron is in a coma and has a collapsed lung, making him unable to breathe on his own.

Cameron was the passenger in a car headed home to Vero Beach.

The car rear-ended on Interstate 95 near Palm Bay then smashed in half by a semi-truck.

"Unfortunately, he's not doing well at all,” family friend Clinton Lanier said.
