Jonesboro, AR : Bicyclist injured in collision with car on Craighead Forest Road on Monday morning, June 6, 2016

A collision between a car and a bicyclist sent a Jonesboro man to the hospital Monday morning.

The crash happened around 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Harrisburg and Craighead Forest Roads, according to the police report.

Bradley Vanzandt, 42, was riding west on Craighead Forest Road and did not stop at the sign, the report stated.

As Vanzandt rode through the intersection, a 2010 Hyundai Accent driven by Dana Sanchez, 19, struck the left side of his bicycle.

Sanchez told officers she did not see the bicycle crossing the intersection.

An ambulance took Vanzandt to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
