Pullman, WA : 9 injured in head-on crash on U.S. Highway 195 about six miles north of Pullman on Sunday, 10th February 2019

Nine people, including three children, were injured Sunday afternoon in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 195 about six miles north of Pullman.

Spokane resident Shawn Whisman, 49, was driving south in a Chevy van about 1:15 p.m. when he went into the northbound lane near Old Albion Road, striking a Dodge Caravan driven by Colfax resident Brent L. Webster, 36, the Washington State Patrol reported in a news release.

A northbound Land Rover driven by Spokane resident Mitchell L. Nunn, 47, then struck the Chevy van.

Whisman and two passengers in the van, Kurt M. Whisman, 20, and Summer L. Fitch, 19, were injured and transported to a hospital.

Webster and four passengers in the Caravan were injured. They were children ages 1, 3 and 11 and Crystal L. Webster, 37.

Nunn was not injured but a passenger in the Land Rover, Shawna Nunn, 46, was injured and taken to a hospital.

Whisman was cited for following too close, WSP said.
