A Greensboro police officer has serious injuries and three teens are dead after a crash early Wednesday morning, police say.
At 2:15 a.m., an officer noticed a car going the wrong way on West Market Street at East Lake Drive and attempted a traffic stop.
"I've left my drink in the truck. So after I got the meal in the microwave, I was coming out to grab it and I just walking out the door and I saw the car go by and a police officer chasing them," said Mike Eilman, who lives on the street. "And then just at that same time is when you hear the, boom, I wasn't even looking down this way because it was like so fast at the moment that it's like 'woah.' And then you hear the boom. It was like, I didn't know if it was a tree, I didn't know it was a police officer at the time. So it's crazy."
